Faced with the neglect and indolence of federal and state authorities, ranchers and farmers from the municipalities of Tecpan and San Jerónimo took on the task of using their own resources to “cover” with cement a large part of the potholes that were on the federal highway Acapulco-Zihuatanejo between the section that includes Jobero-Llano de la Puerta and Zuzuca-San Jerónimo.
The people who started this work mentioned that they have had to help at least 70 people who were stranded due to damage to their vehicles, all with broken or punctured tires.
With this action, the young ranchers pointed out, they are sending a message that reaches the authorities of the Secretariat of Infrastructure, Communications and Transportation (SICT), since in the last couple of months due to the rainy season the road is deteriorating more and more.
As shown in the images, the young people were helped by members of the National Guard in the road sector who helped prevent any accidents and ensure safe roads.
These people asked on behalf of those who live and travel through these places to help ensure that this is repaired as it should be and thus avoid accidents with tragic consequences.
