“We make the city of Durango a cleaner, safer and more attractive place”

As a team and without distinction of colors, in two years, we have managed to make Durango capital a cleaner, safer and more attractive place for our people and for visitors who want to know this beautiful land, said Governor Esteban Villegas Villarreal while accompanying the municipal president, José Antonio Ochoa Rodríguez, along with his wife Marisol Rosso, in his Second Government Report.

“Toño will fulfill his commitments and I will help him to continue fulfilling them, because he has a friendly Governor and Durango will have a Governor for a long time,” said the State Governor when congratulating the capital mayor for the great achievements of this year, such as the construction of the Linear Park, the implementation of the participatory budget, the opening of the Institute for Human Development and Values, the new Children’s Hospital 460, the Francisco Villa underbridge and the rehabilitation of the Aquatic Center 460.

These results are not a coincidence, they are the fruit of a close government, that listens, that feels and that acts hand in hand with the people, he acknowledged when considering that when you work in unity everything is possible.

When describing the work carried out in his second year of government, the mayor of the capital, recognized the Governor and his wife, for fulfilling their duty to Durango and working hand in hand to position the state as the land of opportunities and build together a new chapter in the history of the city, where there is an atmosphere of order and peace.

Together with Governor Esteban, we invested more than 53 million pesos in works, actions and productive projects for the communities of the rural environment, highlighting the delivery of 850 tons of oat seed, 57 watering holes that allow to increase the water harvests in these regions, said Toño Ochoa.

“Today in Durango, our home, we live in an atmosphere of order and peace, thanks to the teamwork with the Governor, we are one of the most peaceful cities in the entire country, because living in Durango is a blast,” he added.

With the greatness of our hearts, we will continue to build the municipality and the State of Durango that we all dream of, a Durango where we are valued, accepted and loved; a Durango where justice, equality and inclusion are palpable realities for all inhabitants, Villegas Villarreal concluded.
