Querétaro will have a Latin American space agency

He reported that it was one of the topics he discussed with the next Secretary of Economy of the Federal Government, Marcelo Ebrard, during the meeting they held this Tuesday. In this regard, he indicated that the facilities are already ready to be handed over to the Federal Government and can begin operations, where Mexico will be able to resume its space race and have aircraft take off from Querétaro.

This agency is located at the Aeronautical University of Querétaro (UNAQ) and will be operated by whoever is designated by the Federal Government. The Latin American Space Agency has already been validated by 22 of the 33 countries that make up the agency. Kuri González reported that another of the topics he discussed with Marcelo Ebrard was the energy project for Querétaro, after the current government decided to exercise it with its own resources.

He asserted that he is confident that there will be a good response from the Ministry of Economy in the next administration that will be headed by the president-elect, Claudia Sheinbaum.
