Students from Tec de Champotón Intern at Disney

The young people worked in various areas of the American company’s theme parks.

As a result of the collaboration with the world’s largest American media and entertainment conglomerate, “The Walt Disney Company,” students from the Instituto Tecnológico Superior de Champotón (ITESCHAM) completed their internship in Orlando, Florida.

The head of the educational institution, Carlos Manuel López Blanco, stated that the students participated in the Disney Cultural Exchange Program, which allowed them to do their internship during this summer in various areas of the American company’s theme parks.

The students shared with me the activities they carried out and the great learning experience they gained from it. Some received recognition for their performance, and others received job offers, he said.

He explained that the tasks performed by students Abraham Ernesto Caamal López, Jonathan Jared Farfán Ortegón, and Andrea Saguilan Arellanes included the preparation and sale of food and beverages, as well as fulfilling all the tasks involved in the kitchen area of a restaurant that serves thousands of people per day.

Naydelin Donají Vega Torres and Maritza Cruz Luviano operated the attractions and interacted with visitors; Marian Jesús Venegas Espinosa, on the other hand, engaged in high interaction with visitors to guide them and ensure they had a good experience during their visit to Disney, as well as ensuring that the different areas were clean, he noted.

López Blanco pointed out that Naydelin Donají Vega Torres, thanks to her great work and dedication, received the five keys of Disney.

“This is a code of conduct that Disney cast members use to make decisions that provide the greatest hospitality to guests. The five keys are: safety, courtesy, inclusion, show, and efficiency,” he commented.

Finally, he emphasized that ITESCHAM is the only educational institution in the state that has this collaboration, allowing young students to experience the world of Disney and learn about customer service from experts.
