Bag with Human Remains Found in Paseos del Mar, Cancún

On Sunday morning, residents of the Paseos del Mar neighborhood, located on Isla Nieves Street, experienced tense moments when they discovered three suspicious bags in the public street.

Alarmed, they immediately contacted the emergency line 911, prompting the mobilization of Citizen Security Secretariat personnel to the scene.

Upon arrival, officers confirmed the severity of the situation: inside the bags were human remains, corresponding to a dismembered body.

According to preliminary information, the three bags contained the head, torso, and clothing of the victim, presumably a man. The scene was quickly cordoned off by the Municipal Police, who, given the magnitude of the discovery, requested federal forces to secure the area.

Minutes later, agents from the Homicide Unit arrived at the scene and began the pertinent investigations, along with forensic experts tasked with processing the crime scene. The human remains were transferred to the Forensic Medical Service for analysis and identification of the victim.

So far, no additional information has been provided about the victim’s identity or the possible motivations behind this brutal act. Authorities continue to investigate, gathering evidence and testimonies that may help clarify this crime.
