After having reached significant agreements with local and federal authorities to guarantee the safety conditions of our employees, we announce the resumption of our operations in Nuevo Laredo, Tamaulipas, starting today, Friday, August 2.
After meetings with state and federal authorities during the last few days, the following commitments and actions were agreed upon, among others:
Police Presence in Stores: Authorities will carry out constant patrols in our stores and stations. There will be greater police presence in order to guarantee a safe environment for our employees and customers.
Panic Button: Installation in stores and stations with connection to C5 for immediate attention to any emergency situation.
Security Coordination Groups: Permanent work tables have been established with state and local authorities.
By virtue of these agreements, at OXXO and OXXO GAS we consider that the necessary conditions exist to resume operations safely.
We appreciate the commitment of state and federal authorities to establish these agreements that will help improve the security of our businesses and their surroundings. We also recognize the prompt attention and follow-up of the state authorities to the complaint filed, which is following the corresponding course.
Our stores and stations will reopen in a staggered manner this Friday, August 2. We will operate during our regular hours, established by current regulations.
At OXXO and OXXO GAS we reaffirm that the safety of our employees is the highest priority, and we will work hand in hand with authorities and the community to continue generating social and economic value in Nuevo Laredo.
