Querétaro ranks 7th in hotel occupancy

The city of Querétaro ranked seventh nationwide among the 12 destinations monitored by the federal Tourism Secretariat for hotel occupancy; the capital reported an occupancy of 58.4% in the last week of the summer vacation.

In the first places of occupancy was Cancún with an occupancy of 75.1%, followed by Puerto Vallarta with 64.5%, Los Cabos with 64.4%, Mexico City with 64.1%, Puebla with 62.5%, and Villahermosa with 57.2%.

Although the capital of Querétaro reported an annual decrease of 4.5% in hotel occupancy in the last week of the summer vacation, according to data from the same agency.

In the monitoring carried out by the federal agency, it was reported that, in the week of August 21 to 27, 2023, in the state capital a hotel occupancy of 58.4% was reported.

While, in the week of August 19 to 25, 2024, which corresponds to the last of the summer school holidays, a hotel occupancy of 53.9% was recorded.

It should be noted that at the beginning of the holidays in the week of July 15 to 21, a hotel occupancy of 61.7% was reported. And the week that reported a greater increase was from July 22 to July 28 with a percentage of 74.3%.

At the national level, the last week of July was the one in which tourist activity increased the most, since in destinations such as Cancun, Puerto Vallarta and Los Cabos it reached 78% occupancy.
