The collapse of a slope caused the closure of the Mazatlán-Durango highway tonight, at kilometer 110, according to the official notice issued by authorities from the State Civil Protection and Federal Roads and Bridges.

According to the brief report that was released through social networks, the lane that was affected is the one going towards Durango, where it seems that a large amount of rocky material fell, as has occurred on previous occasions on this same toll road.

On his X account -formerly Twitter-, Capufe published around 9:00 p.m. on Tuesday, the closure to road traffic due to the incident, and recommends users to take precautions.

In addition, it is announced that, to request information on this matter, users can call 074.

It should be noted that kilometer 110 is located in the state of Durango, near the community of Chavarría Nuevo.

During the current rainy season, there have been several landslides recorded on the so-called super highway, which led to the closure of vehicular traffic, including on July 19 when a slope shifted at kilometer 188.

On July 14, a similar problem was also reported at kilometer 104, while a day earlier, on July 13, the problem occurred at kilometer 160.

On this same road there have been other partial or total closures for a few hours due to vehicle accidents, for which the authorities take preventive measures to avoid risks for drivers traveling from Durango to Mazatlán or vice versa.
