Due to the rains that have been recorded in the state of Hidalgo during the last 48 hours, authorities reported landslides in the region of the Sierra Otomí Tepehua.

One of the most affected municipalities is Tenango de Doria, as there are incidents on the road to the town of San Bartolo, as well as the Santa María-San Francisco la Laguna, where civil protection personnel went to carry out the removal of stones and mud to allow the passage of motorists.

In the community of San Nicolás, civil protection authorities warned that a rock weighing more than a ton and a half was identified, which is unstable, at risk of falling.

For this reason, the area had to be cordoned off, at the height of the community auditorium, while preventive work is carried out to prevent the rock from collapsing and causing injuries to people or property.

In Hidalgo, landslides and falls have also been reported on the Pachuca-Huejutla highway, particularly near the municipality of Tlanchinol, where even the walls of the hills are experiencing strong water runoff, causing flooding on the asphalt.

Authorities recommended that the population drive with extreme caution in order to avoid accidents.
