Two people confirmed dead from dengue in Querétaro

The Querétaro Health Department reported two deaths from dengue, one in the capital and another in Peñamiller.

The outbreak, caused by the Aedes aegypti mosquito, has increased by 600% compared to the previous year, which has generated pressure to address the illnesses.

As of the first week of September, 752 cases of dengue have been registered, concentrated mainly in the municipalities of Querétaro, Peñamiller, Jalpan de Serra and Tolimán. Authorities urge the population to eliminate possible mosquito breeding sites and use repellent to reduce the risk of further infections.
