The person applying for the vacancy must supervise the purchase of both local and foreign items necessary for the operation and maintenance of its facilities, including residences and leased or government-owned buildings.

What are the requirements?

The applicant must have a degree in Business Management, Public Administration, Procurement, Marketing, or Finance/Accounting, or a related field.

Additionally, a minimum of three years of experience in procurement, including performing administrative tasks, is required. At least six months of supervisory experience is also needed, as this is a leadership position that requires planning and reporting on procurement actions.

The candidate must be fluent in English, as the position involves constant communication with suppliers and functional staff, both national and foreign.

This requirement may be evaluated during the selection process to ensure the applicant has the necessary level to perform the corresponding tasks.

Another requirement is to have a valid driver’s license with a minimum of five years of experience, as the position involves the use of government vehicles for official matters.

The procurement supervisor will be the main travel contact within the consulate, responsible for preparing and processing official travel arrangements through the E2 Solutions System, in compliance with Federal Travel Regulations and guidelines established by the Department of State.
