The two restaurant organizations that have maintained differences since their creation are preparing to hold on different dates a gastronomic show and a Ball Cheese Festival, respectively, in the park of the Candelaria neighborhood.
Carlos Guillermo Aguirre Aguilar, president of the Association of Restaurants and Gastronomic Services of Valladolid Yucatán (Reserva), reported that their Ball Cheese Festival will take place on the 28th and 29th of this month in the park of the Candelaria neighborhood.
The gastronomic leader informed that 23 exhibitors are registered so far, 21 from this city, one from Mérida, and one more from Tizimín.
They will showcase all kinds of foods that can be made with ball cheese, including dishes like stuffed cheese, hamburgers, ice cream, marquesitas, and even fresh waters.
The hours so far will be from 4 PM to 11 PM, for which local people and tourists are being invited to attend those days, which also coincide with the celebration of International Tourism Day, so a good turnout is expected.
On the other hand, the brand “Foodie,” brought by the Association of Restaurants of Valladolid Yucatán (Arvay), promotes the Ball Cheese Festival, which will take place in the same park on October 4, 5, and 6 at different times.
According to information being disseminated on social media, the festival will start on Friday, October 4, from 7 PM to 10 PM, on Saturday, October 5, from 4 PM to 11 PM, and on Sunday, October 6, from 2 PM to 8 PM.
Both events are expected to have a good turnout of local people and visitors, where attendees can enjoy dishes, desserts, and everything that can be made with ball cheese. — Juan Antonio Osorio Osorno
