A 12-year-old boy died after falling from a kayak in Lake Chapala in the municipality of Jocotepec, Jalisco.
According to local media, the 12-year-old boy, along with three other minors, boarded a kayak to enter Lake Chapala.
The 12-year-old boy fell from the boat and hit his neck with a rope, which left him seriously injured.
Witnesses urgently transported the boy in a RAM truck in search of a nearby hospital. However, upon reaching Ajijic and finding a Red Cross ambulance, paramedics confirmed the boy’s death.
The boy’s body was taken to the Jalisco Institute of Forensic Sciences and will later be handed over to his family.
