Three cases of hemorrhagic dengue are registered in San Felipe Orizatlán

At least three cases of hemorrhagic dengue are registered in the municipality of San Felipe Orizatlán and one of them is serious.

Before the media, Verónica Salvador, municipal health liaison, pointed out that most of the patients are treated in private clinics.

“Regarding dengue, which is a very serious situation that we have here, unfortunately not everything is reaching the Health Center, the cases are handled by private doctors, today the first fumigation in a cycle of three is taking place, for three days I mean and this is because we have three patients hospitalized with hemorrhagic dengue; last night precisely in one consultation of ten, we received seven positives for dengue, that will be taken into account, the secretariat will resolve them.”

The patients

And in that sense, the municipal president Carlos Cesar Pérez Escamilla referred that one of the patients already had nasal and gum bleeding, for which reason they are receiving medical attention in the Regional Hospital of La Huasteca.

“Every four years dengue makes a turn, but right now it is going beyond the limit like never before, it is a very serious issue and there are criteria of severity, in fact, one of those who was transferred to the regional hospital already had bleeding gums, and also nose, so we are concerned.”
Finally, he pointed out that they will reinforce the campaigns of junk removal, fumigation, and various strategies for the prevention of dengue in the municipality.

What is hemorrhagic dengue?

Dengue is a disease transmitted by the bite of an infected mosquito and affects people of all ages, explains the World Health Organization (WHO). Sometimes it can progress to a serious form known as hemorrhagic.

Hemorrhagic dengue is part of the evolution of the disease, say specialists; this type of dengue is generated by a decrease in platelets that causes hemorrhage (bleeding) in any organ. For example in the nose or mouth.
