It is in the interest of the Administration that the inhabitants of the entity, and even from other parts of the country, acquire knowledge that continues to benefit Mexico and promote its economic and social development. In this context, it was confirmed that Tsinghua University, one of the best in the world and in China, will be installed in the entity governed by Samuel García Sepúlveda.
Through his official X account (formerly Twitter), Simón Levy-Dabbah, former Undersecretary of Tourism Planning of Mexico confirmed the arrival of Tsinghua University to Nuevo León. In his publication he pointed out that this alliance occurred thanks to the invitation of the governor of the state, Samuel García.

Likewise, Levy-Dabbah pointed out that at the headquarters of the Chinese university, training and technology transfer will be carried out to prepare SMEs. These could benefit the entire industry of “modular, automated and autonomous construction of the future,” said the founder of the Mexico-China Chair of the National Autonomous University of Mexico (UNAM).
The former Secretary of Tourism pointed out that specialized study plans will be established in the country, which will also benefit the economy in Mexico. Finally, he celebrated that this is the first official headquarters of Tsinghua University in Latin America.

The most recent edition of the SCIMAGO Institutions Rankings (SIR) indicates that Tsinghua University, originally from China, is one of the three best in the world. The SIR World Report 2024 report indicates that the first place is occupied by Harvard, the American, while the second belongs to another Chinese university: the University of the Chinese Academy of Sciences.
