The governor of Nuevo León, Samuel García, celebrated this Sunday the addition of 2,500 new urban transport units, highlighting that even more will arrive.

From the Explanada de los Héroes, García presented this new fleet, designed to improve the mobility of the people of Monterrey.

“There are already 2,500 trucks… and 2,500 more are coming,” announced the governor, emphasizing his administration’s commitment to renew the public transport system.

He assured that, after the crisis caused by the COVID-19 pandemic, the state received a fleet of vehicles in poor condition, which has led to a rapid renewal.

García highlighted that more than half of the fleet has been renewed, and that the new trucks are “green, low in emissions, comfortable, with climate control, Wi-Fi and a panic button,” elements that will improve the user experience and contribute to more sustainable transportation.

Looking ahead to the 2026 World Cup, the governor previously projected that Nuevo León will have a total of 5,000 new trucks, an important step to ensure adequate mobility during the event, in which the state will host four matches.

This announcement is part of the achievements that García has boasted during his administration, highlighting that these improvements are being made only halfway through his term.
