The Secretariat of the Navy (Semar) confirmed on Tuesday the deaths of four naval personnel following an accident that occurred near the La Pesca pier, in the municipality of Soto la Marina, Tamaulipas.
The institution mourned the loss and expressed its condolences to the sailors’ families. According to a statement issued by the La Pesca Naval Sector, the personnel were off duty when the accident occurred.
The private vehicle they were traveling in fell into the river near the pier, causing the deaths of all four occupants.
