The governor-elect of Chiapas, Eduardo Ramírez Aguilar, held a key meeting with the Secretary of the Navy, Admiral José Rafael Ojeda Durán, and the future head of SEMAR, Vice Admiral Raymundo Pedro Morales Ángeles. At the meeting, Ramírez presented his ambitious plan to turn Puerto Chiapas into a relevant industrial hub in Central America, highlighting the support of the private sector to install a liquefaction plant and improve the gas supply.

In addition, Ramírez presented the railway projects that will connect Guatemala with the Interoceanic Corridor, a strategic route that will strengthen the regional economy by facilitating trade to North America. The governor-elect reaffirmed his commitment to work together with SEMAR to promote the economic development of Chiapas and recognized the work of Admiral Ojeda Durán during the López Obrador government.
