Passenger bus lines from Durango to Mazatlán suspended due to violence

In light of the clashes and blockades that have occurred on the borders of Sinaloa and Durango in Concordia on the Durango-Mazatlán highway, the passenger bus lines announced the temporary suspension of their runs until further notice.

The Estrella Blanca line, operator of Chihuahuenses and Valle de Guadiana, announced this temporary suspension on its social networks, stating that the departures from Mazatlán to Durango and from Durango to Mazatlán were temporarily suspended.

“Dear users! We regret to inform you that, due to unforeseen circumstances, we are forced to temporarily suspend departures: Mazatlán to Durango and Durango to Mazatlán.”

Likewise, the Ómnibus de México line announced the temporary cessation of trips on this same route, “due to circumstances beyond our control, our Mazatlán to Durango and Durango-Mazatlán runs are suspended for the moment. We appreciate your understanding.”

On Thursday morning, a blockade with tire-puncturing equipment and at least one burned trailer occurred in the El Sinaloense tunnel, where two corpses were abandoned; in addition, a confrontation took place that left seven people dead in the upper region of Concordia.
