The Interoceanic Corridor of the Isthmus of Tehuantepec, headed by Admiral Raymundo Morales Ángeles, made a presentation of the project to Mexican businessmen to promote investment in the area.
Present at the event were Salomón Jara, Governor of Oaxaca; Francisco Cervantes, president of the Business Coordinating Council; Raúl Ruíz Robles, Secretary of Economic Development of Oaxaca; Carlos Alberto Salazar Estrada, Secretary of Economy and Labor of Chiapas; Javier Aguilera Peña, president of the board of directors of PROISTMO; Adolfo Rogel Villalba, general director of ports of the Multimodal Developer Isthmus of Tehuantepec; and the general director of CIIT, Admiral Raymundo Morales Ángeles.
Under the name “Competitive advantages and investment opportunities of the Interoceanic Corridor of the Isthmus of Tehuantepec”, the governor of Oaxaca, Salomón Jara, highlighted that the CIIT is emerging as a strategic logistics platform, consolidating Oaxaca as a safe and attractive destination for investment.
He commented that, thanks to the CIIT, the state has the necessary conditions to become a great development platform for the southeast of the country.
He also referred to the historic moment of unprecedented economic growth that the state is experiencing, “being one of the most attractive states for investment in the next 50 years.”
During his speech, Francisco Cervantes, president of the CCE, stated that the CIIT will generate an economic spillover of 3,650 million dollars between the 79 municipalities of Oaxaca and Veracruz that make up the corridor.
He also highlighted that the mega project has the capacity to generate employment for more than a million people.
He stressed that the businessmen feel part and protagonists of the project, and that they will continue to do so with the promotion of CIIT, with investment and with strategies to help continue contributing to the well-being of the region.
For his part, the representative of PROISTMO said that they are ready to begin to generate the new future of the South-Southeast of Mexico and the new relationship that we will have with the logistics-commercial world. They made a presentation of what PROISTMO is, its potential vocations and the investment opportunities in the four Development Poles for Well-Being (Podebis) that have been granted to them.
The general director of CIIT, Admiral Raymundo Morales Ángeles, presented a summary of the progress that CIIT has made, both in the ports, the railroad, and the Podebis.
