The Sinaloa Public Security Secretariat confirmed the murder of three people in Mazatlán on Monday night.
The events occurred in the Rafael Buelna and Antonio Toledo Corro neighborhoods, where two and one person were murdered respectively.

“Security forces from all three levels of government received reports of gunshots in the Rafael Buelna and Antonio Toledo Corro neighborhoods, belonging to the municipality of Mazatlán; two dead people were found in the first neighborhood; and in the second one dead person, with gunshot wounds, the Prosecutor’s Office took charge,” can be read in the morning report of the SSPE.
These events occurred on Monday night, around 10:00 p.m.
The seizure of two vehicles in the town of Las Aguamitas, in Navolato, was also confirmed, almost 24 hours after the incident occurred.
This seizure was carried out by federal security forces, who according to residents deployed an operation that took several hours.
“The Secretariat of Public Security reports that personnel from the Mexican Army in the town of Aguamitas, municipality of Navolato, seized 2 vans that had been reported stolen, State Police supported in the transfer to be made available to the corresponding authority,” the report states.
Finally, it is noted that complaints of the presence of armed persons were received, but it is admitted that no evidence was found when the authorities arrived at the scene of the events.
“Reports were received to the 911 emergency number of armed civilians in vehicles, this in the vicinity of the Eureka field, Costa Rica; in the town of Emiliano Zapata, Culiacán; in Los Pochotes, in Navolato; Each of them was attended to by security forces from all three levels of government. No people or evidence of these events were found in any of the areas referred to, which resulted negatively,” it states.
