The Attorney General’s Office of the State of Mexico (FGJEM) reported that Kristina “N”, a young woman of Russian nationality, was found alive in the city of Tijuana, after having disappeared from the DIF shelter in Toluca.

According to reports, the 16-year-old girl is under the protection of the Attorney General’s Office of the State of Mexico, for the corresponding procedures to rule out whether she was the victim of a crime.

It should be noted that on September 10, Marina Vladimirovna, the minor’s adoptive mother, reported that Kristina had been “kidnapped” by personnel from the DIF of the State of Mexico, who took her from the Instituto Educativo España, located in the municipality of Zinacantepec.

In a statement, the school distanced itself from the kidnapping accusations and stressed that the young woman was removed by DIF personnel and the Attorney General’s Office of the State of Mexico (FGJEM), because a process is being followed for alleged violence in the family environment.

The State Attorney’s Office at the time confirmed that, indeed, Kristina was a victim of sexual violence in her adoptive home, directly pointing to her stepbrother as the aggressor.

Subsequently, the young woman was reported missing on September 30 of this year, after escaping from Villa Hogar of the System for the Integral Development of the Family of the State of Mexico (DIF).

In light of the events, the DIFEM itself proceeded against its public servants to punish whoever is responsible for the omission that resulted in the escape of said teenager.

At the moment, the 16-year-old minor is under the protection of the Attorney General’s Office of the State of Mexico, for the corresponding investigations.
