50 Missing

So far in 2024, 50 reports of missing minors have been filed, according to the National Registry of Missing and Unlocated Persons (RNPDNO).

In the state of Campeche alone, the 50 reports of missing minors are divided into 32 females and 18 males, representing 64% and 36% of the cases, respectively.

In the breakdown by municipalities, the capital, Campeche, ranks first with 38 reports of missing minors, divided into 16 males and 22 females; followed by Carmen with four cases (one male and three females); and Champotón with three cases, all females.

The rest of the list of municipalities with cases of unlocated persons includes Candelaria with two cases (one male and one female); while Calakmul and Tenabo each have one case, and there is a record of one person without a reference municipality.

The records in the RNPDNO confirm that the case of Joel Acosta Oroma is the first recorded this year from Palizada, and to date, the minor has not been located, nor has it been possible to establish communication with him.

Of the total number of missing minors, 45 have been located, and five remain missing. It is hoped that Joel’s case will have a positive outcome and that he will be found soon.
