In a joint operation between the Attorney General’s Office of the State of Baja California and the Attorney General’s Office of the State of Chiapas, Juan Miguel “N”, alias “el Boxer”, was arrested and transferred from Tuxtla Gutiérrez, Chiapas, to Tijuana, Baja California.
Juan Miguel “N” is wanted by the judicial authority due to his alleged participation in two criminal cases for aggravated homicide and attempted aggravated homicide.
The arrest was possible thanks to the coordinated effort between federal, state and municipal authorities, in compliance with collaboration agreements for the arrest of individuals with outstanding judicial warrants.
The events that led to his capture include an incident that occurred on November 2, 2010, at approximately 8:00 p.m., in the San Luis neighborhood, where Juan Miguel “N”, along with other individuals, shot José Luis García, known as “el Chepe”, who died on the spot. In addition, he is accused of shooting another individual, who managed to escape unharmed.
Additionally, he faces charges of qualified homicide in the degree of co-authorship and attempted homicide in the Second Criminal Court, related to an incident in the Ejido Lázaro Cárdenas, where several people were injured and two lost their lives.
Juan Miguel “el Boxer” is linked to a criminal group, which increases the seriousness of the charges against him.
Due to the dangerousness of the detainee, a special operation was implemented during his transfer to the El Hongo Social Rehabilitation Center, in Tecate, under strict security measures, with the participation of the State Investigation Agency of the Tijuana Zone.
This operation underlines the commitment of the authorities of the three levels of government to ensure citizen security and guarantee the fulfillment of justice.
