Violence in Sinaloa has had less impact in Durango: authorities

Prior to the gloss on the second report of activities of the current state administration in the Congress of Durango, the general secretary of government, Héctor Vela Valenzuela, said that the armed events recorded in Sinaloa have had a minor impact in Durango.

“We have not had any deaths as a result of what has happened on the state borders, we hope to continue working hard with the National Guard, with the Ministry of Defense to keep the borders safe.”

Regarding the case of Zacatecas, she commented that there have been no problems on the roads, but there is activity in the border area with Zacatecas and Nayarit, but that it has not permeated into local territory.

“With Zacatecas, peace has been relatively maintained, and I say relatively because then we have an incident here in the nearby area between the limits of Zacatecas, Nayarit and Durango, near our communities.”

For her part, Sonia Yadira de la Garza, prosecutor in Durango, announced that the most reported crimes in the state are fraud, even more than robberies, and it is because people expect to receive large returns with little capital and they take risks.

She explained that there are collective frauds as well as cyber frauds, but it is necessary to understand that there are no magic measures to obtain money, and when the interest is paid to the victims, it is no longer part of the criminal spectrum.

He said that in the case of Yox Holding there is no jurisdiction, where 700 complaints were received, from 10 thousand pesos to 10 million which was the limit, “this is a federal crime because it falls under the Law of Credit Institutions.”

PAN deputy Mayra Rodríguez stressed the importance of the security strategies implemented to protect Durango from the violence of neighboring states.
