She pointed out that an arrival of 128 thousand visitors to Guanajuato capital is estimated during the three weeks that the Cervantino lasts, as well as a hotel occupancy of approximately 47 percent.
The state official argued that if the expectations regarding the number of visitors and hotel occupancy are met, the economic spillover for the capital would be 250 million pesos.
Guadalupe Robles said that without a doubt the economic spillover is important, but it is more important to send a message to the whole world that events of this type can be held with peace of mind in Guanajuato.
It should be noted that regardless of hotel occupancy, the number of people who come to enjoy the shows and nightlife without staying overnight in the city is higher at the Cervantino.
