A total of 125 people from the municipality of Tolimán, Querétaro, are being treated at the Tolimán Hospital due to poisoning from eating meat with clenbuterol.
However, because it has exceeded capacity, some have been transferred to the General Hospital of Cadereyta for medical attention, and they hope that there is no worsening in their health, which for the moment is reported stable; only one woman who was pregnant gave birth prematurely to guarantee the health of the product.
The municipality issued an alert, since it is beef that was bought in the municipal market of Tolimán, so it asked not to consume any at this time.
The municipal president, Alejandro Sánchez, reported that health and sanitary inspection personnel went to evaluate the problem that occurs in the localities and asked that they not self-medicate.
“The Health Center remains open to assist you and follow up on the situation affecting citizens poisoned by the consumption of beef.”

Heart disease
Difficulty breathing
Nausea or vomiting
Were asked to seek medical attention, because they could present some situation of poisoning.
Residents have expressed on social networks that this meat is not only sold in the market but in butcher shops, but they did not think it was a serious situation.
Some affected localities are Cerrito Parado, Horno de Cal, San Miguel, La Vereda, to mention some mentioned by citizens, who ask for greater surveillance.
