The traditional Day of the Dead in Oaxaca was announced with more than 50 scheduled activities.

At a press conference at the Los Pinos Cultural Complex in Mexico City, it was announced that the idea of ​​this festivity is to encourage its preservation in the new generations.

From October 26 to November 3, the Secretariats of Tourism; Cultures and Arts; Interculturality, Indigenous and Afro-Mexican Peoples and Communities; the DIF Oaxaca System and the municipality of Oaxaca de Juárez, will offer the Path to Mictlán with the placement of nine monumental sculptures in the Tourist Walkway on Macedonio Alcalá Street.

And starting on October 28, in front of the Government Palace, “La Catrina”, a monumental sculpture made of stone, will be placed in the state capital, said the local Secretary of Tourism, Saymí Pineda.
