This magical town could host the National Convention of Tourist Guides next year.
The president of the Ixtapa Hotel Association, Luis Castañeda Muñoz, said that “we are in negotiations to achieve this, it is a very important sector that increasingly has more alternatives in our destination to offer to visitors.”
The director of the Azul Ixtapa Hotels also said that he has already had meetings with local associations of tourist guides, with whom he has had agreements such as promoting traditional tours, in addition to other new ones that this destination can offer.
All these new routes will be promoted, he said, through the Ixtapa-Zihuatanejo Convention and Visitors Office (OCVIZ) and will also be on the hotels’ websites.
He said that apart from the gastronomic tour or the tour to the island of Ixtapa or museums, they are looking to offer bird and whale sightings, the Playa Linda walk, the Capricho del Rey and El Partenón.
