The businessman specified that this strike by Audi and Volkswagen due to Hurricane Milton will cause havoc in 17 supplier companies, also established in Puebla. These have a labor base of at least eight thousand workers.

We are having serious effects. Of course, if Audi and Volkswagen stop all the suppliers, we also have to stop.”

According to Soto Martínez, he has already had a dialogue with some companies and they argued that several will go at 50 percent. While the rest will send their workers on vacation and with their salaries at 100 percent.

In recent days, it was reported that Hurricane Milton complicated the delivery of materials for the units that are assembled in the state of Puebla. Since all of these arrive by sea to Mexican territory.

One of the segments suspended last week corresponded to the third, which focuses on the creation of the Taos pickup truck at Volkswagen.
