Tabasco Residents to Have Hiring Priority for Major Projects in Centla

The Undersecretary of Economic Development, Talina Ferrer Cadenas, announced that in the upcoming major project to be carried out in the municipality of Centla, specifically at the Port of Frontera, priority will be given to residents of Tabasco for the generated jobs. However, she did not rule out the participation of transnational companies in the project.

Ferrer Cadenas emphasized that these projects, promoted by Governor Javier May Rodríguez, aim to reactivate the region’s economy and benefit the residents of the municipality. “The citizens of Centla will be the most benefited, both with job opportunities and increased economic income and sales,” she assured.

The undersecretary noted that hiring will depend on the industry that is established and the level of training of the workers, which will be supported by the government. “We will need trained personnel, and we will ensure that it is mostly local staff, always supporting the people of Tabasco,” she explained.

She added that due to the size of the project and the required infrastructure, it will be necessary to have the support of various companies to meet the governor’s commitments.
