The new ‘Route of Flowers’ is the latest effort by the Baja California Tourism Secretariat to promote agrotourism, combining flower fields with local traditions.

This innovative route not only seeks to diversify the region’s tourism offering, but also to promote the economic development of the communities involved. Miguel Aguíñiga Rodríguez, Secretary of Tourism of Baja California, explained that the ‘Route of Flowers’ is designed to preserve the natural environment and traditional productive activities, promoting sustainable tourism.

What does the new Route of Flowers include?

In its first stage, the ‘Route of Flowers’ covers the municipalities of Tijuana and Playas de Rosarito. Along the route, visitors will be able to enjoy more than 40 destinations, including ranches, historical sites, lodging options and a wide range of complementary services and experiences, creating a comprehensive tourism proposal for both national and international visitors.

The development of this route is supported by the Program of Support for Productive and Sustainable Inclusion, promoted by the state Tourism Secretariat, whose objective is to promote tourism growth in these areas.

Present at the launch event were César Rivera González, president of Cotuco Playas de Rosarito; Rafael Contreras Contreras, president of the Association of Hosts and Tour Operators of Baja California; and Oscar Cardoso Alejos, director of Mictlán Tijuana, among other key figures in the sector.
