American boy abandoned in Tlaxcala reunited with aunt after 5 years

Child Protection Officers from the National Migration Institute located Zlatan, a seven-year-old boy of American origin who was abandoned by his mother, however, the minor is now with his family.

It was through social networks that the National Migration Institute itself detailed that the boy arrived in Tlaxcala territory at the age of two with his mother and stepfather looking for a better future.

According to this organization, the boy’s mother suffered domestic violence, so she decided to flee, leaving Zlatan with his father and as she could not take care of him either, she abandoned him.

However, through the United States consulate in Mexico they located his aunt in Houston, Texas, and the procedures were initiated so that the boy could be reunited with his family.

In this sense, it was revealed that Zlatan’s aunt asked the North American authorities to take care of the minor, provide him with a roof and a family, so she requested that he be repatriated to the American union.

It was also confirmed that Zlatan has an older sister who is also in the care of his maternal aunt and so it was easier for her to stay in custody of the little boy who is only seven years old.

For this reason, on October 10, two officials from the National Migration Institute traveled with the little boy to the United States and, together with authorities from that country, they confirmed that everything was in order to leave Zlatan.

Once all the protocols were completed, it was determined that his aunt’s house was a safe place and that Zlatan could have a new and better future, which is why they left him there to have a new beginning and a better quality of life in the neighboring country.
