Mazatlan’s tourism sector registers slight recovery

Mazatlán registers a slight recovery in hotel occupancy, as it reached 60 percent over the weekend, confirmed Francis Cázarez.

The president of the National Chamber of Commerce of Mazatlán stated that although the figures are still far from the maximum expected, the upward trend generates optimism among merchants and hoteliers in the region.

She indicated that with the holding of congresses and conventions in the city, and the opening of new businesses or restaurants, the recovery of normal activities in the destination is promoted.

“We have the expectation of closing this month well, which would benefit all sectors. If one benefits, everyone benefits,” she said.

She commented that the upcoming Halloween and Day of the Dead celebrations represent an opportunity for local commerce to be reactivated, after the insecurity caused economic activity in the city to be significantly reduced, and only the food sector remained.

Expoferia Canaco

He also added that in November comes the revolutionary long weekend, the Buen Fin and the Expoferia Canaco 2024, which will take place from November 14 to December 15.

For the 39th edition, there will be 150 stands, where people will be able to find various items, food, even mechanical games, the Teatro del Pueblo, where an artistic cast for all tastes will be presented.
