The Sinaloa Cartel’s faction led by El Mayo Zambada’s son, Ismael Zambada Sicairos, alias El Mayito Flaco, has been waging a war to the death against Los Chapitos for eight weeks now. The conflict intensified last weekend with 11 homicides on Friday and another 14 on Saturday, for a total of more than 300 murders since it all began just over 50 days ago.
Los Chapitos confirmed that they had handed over El Mayo Zambada to the United States government in a narco banner placed on a pedestrian bridge in Culiacán. The message read: “Just as we handed over your father, we are going to hand you over to the USA.”
El Mayito Flaco’s response was not long in coming. A human head appeared on Saturday at the doors of a park. Inside there was a card with a sign that read: “No, the government is on your side. Chapos are rats.”
The discovery coincided with the appearance of a video on social media where an alleged operator of Los Chapitos responds to an interrogation carried out by people from Mayo and admits that his bosses financed the campaign of Governor Rubén Rocha Moya.
The truth is that Sinaloa society is held hostage by criminal groups that, day in and day out, set the capital and its surroundings on fire, and lives in terror, shaken by the “press releases” that the Sinaloa Cartel factions have been exchanging.
A few days ago, flyers dropped over Culiacán from a small plane and sent by El Mayo’s son made reference to the alleged protection that the Rocha Moya government provides to Los Chapitos.
In this context, negotiations took place between El Chapo’s sons and representatives of the Jalisco Nueva Generación Cartel. The information about these meetings reached both the Attorney General’s Office and the federal Public Security Secretariat.
The report was leaked from one of these offices, it is not known which one, a few days ago although it had been ordered to remain secret.
In various areas of the country, including Zacatecas, the Jalisco Cartel has been engaged in fierce clashes with El Mayo Zambada’s cells. So the rapprochement undertaken by Los Chapitos soon found fertile ground. What follows, according to analysts consulted, is an escalation of violence in Sinaloa.
A week has passed since the Attorney General’s Office admitted “with complete precision” that the former rector of the UAS, Héctor Melesio Cuén, was murdered in the same place and at the same time that El Mayo Zambada was subdued by one of El Chapo Guzmán’s sons and put on the plane that put him in the hands of the US government.
This statement confirmed that the Rocha Moya government had lied and staged a setup to make people believe that, in reality, the former rector had been murdered during the attempted robbery of his truck inside a gas station. Rocha Moya also tried to deceive the attorney general, Alejandro Gertz. The FGR statement released on Sunday 20 is the response, from the center, to the governor’s lies.
Rocha Moya sought the political shelter of Ricardo Monreal who, without correctly reading the change of signals, supported the governor in the Chamber of Deputies and made the members of the Morena parliamentary group shout at him: “You are not alone.”
Everything indicates, however, that the governor is becoming alone, as his constituents have been alone during all these weeks.
