Million-pesos robbery in Cancun: more than 10 million pesos stolen

A million-pesos robbery occurred in Cancun’s Polígono Sur area on Thursday, October 31, at around 6 p.m. Two armed men stole a significant amount of money from a house located at Block 326, Block 8, Lot 14, in the Jardines del Sur I subdivision.

According to reports, the robbers entered the residence and threatened the owner with a gun before making off with:

– 10 million pesos in cash, which was part of a construction company’s payroll payment

– An additional 2 million pesos

– A box of jewelry valued at 4 million pesos

The total value of stolen goods is approximately 16 million pesos.

The suspects fled the scene in a white Peugeot truck with license plate SZ-2116-N, which was later abandoned on 135th Avenue. Security cameras captured images of the perpetrators, one wearing a purple shirt and the other a white shirt.

The Robbery Group of the Investigative Police is working at the crime scene, while police units have intensified their search for the robbers in the El Pedregal neighborhood. No arrests have been made so far.
