The Board of Directors of the Mazatlán Institute of Culture, Tourism and Art ratified Raúl Rico González as director of the municipal entity.
In an extraordinary session, Mayor Estrella Palacios Domínguez made the proposal to the Council, which was approved unanimously by those present, since 15 of the 16 members attended.
The municipal president said she is a person with the capacity and experience to lead the Institute.
“We are very happy, we know of her capacity, of her experience to lead this important agency (…) the Carnival will take place from February 27 to March 4, we are already in talks to make it a great Carnival at the height of this great festivity,” said Palacios Domínguez.

Raul Rico assumed the general direction of the Institute in November 2022, although he has a long history of 33 years in the organization of the Carnival and in the different cultural activities of the port.
