Cancun-Costa Mujeres tourist corridor promises to increase added value

The Cancun-Costa Mujeres tourist corridor promises to increase its added value by 20% in the coming years, according to expert appraisers in Quintana Roo. The State Government and the Federation are investing heavily in this area, and data from the College of Appraisers suggests that it will lead to a significant increase in value.

Kristhian Guillermo Hernández Rendón, president of the organization, emphasizes that this increase is expected to be reflected in the long term, depending on the complementary projects attached to the initiative. He advises interested parties to seek expert advice and make adequate planning to avoid mistakes similar to those made in Cancun.

Rendón recommends seeking international certification like “Leed” for sustainability, as it should exist from the beginning. He also warns that if this situation is not controlled and planned properly, we could face an environment similar to Tulum’s, where 7 out of 10 real estate developments have title deed problems due to excessive investment.

The expert highlights the importance of basic services like water, electricity, and drainage in attracting developers to areas such as the hotel zone. He stresses that it is crucial to ensure these conditions are met before carrying out constructions, citing instances where properties have been left without basic services at the last minute.

In conclusion, Rendón emphasizes the need for experts’ guidance in ensuring a sustainable and well-planned development of the Cancun-Costa Mujeres tourist corridor. He advises that seeking expert advice can help avoid costly mistakes and ensure a healthy and competitive environment for all stakeholders involved.
