Elements of the Criminal Investigation Agency of the Attorney General’s Office of Nayarit maintain operations in Bahía de Banderas to detect vehicles with altered serial numbers or with a theft report.

These actions began last Thursday at the intersection of Federaciones Boulevard, in San Vicente, where about a dozen irregular vehicles were detected.

On Friday morning, the filter was placed on Riviera Nayarit Boulevard, on the south to north side, at the height of the Flamingos commercial area, in Bucerías, managing to stop a couple of trucks so far.

The Attorney General of Nayarit, Petronilo Díaz Ponce Medrano, reported that these preventive works seek to avoid the commercialization of stolen vehicles in the municipality, which leads the state in this problem.

He pointed out that, with the Christmas and New Year holidays, the purchase and sale of vehicles increases, so these operations will be extended in the next few days as an immediate response of the Attorney General’s Office to this situation.
