The Autonomous University of Aguascalientes (UAA) is preparing for the launch of the new Bachelor’s Degree in Video Game Development, which will offer 40 spaces in its first generation and will be taught entirely online.
“The University Council has already approved the degree and the committee is working hard on the design of the programs. The next offer will be announced next year to begin in August,” said the rector of the institution, Sandra Yesenia Pinzón Castro.
Pinzón Castro explained that this degree, being online, will not require investments in new classrooms or physical spaces to receive the 40 students of the first generation, although a system related to the subject will probably be developed to facilitate remote work.
Curricular design work and the selection of teaching profiles to teach this degree are underway. “The interesting thing is that, being virtual, we will be facing all the challenges that this entails,” she explained, highlighting the university’s commitment to adapt to technological changes in education.
This online degree will allow students to train in a high-demand field without the limitations of physical space, opening a door for those seeking to become professionals in video game development from anywhere, and represents a significant advance in the educational offering of the UAA.
