The Mexican Association of Hotels and Motels of Aguascalientes registered an occupancy of 55.88% only during the week of October 26 to November 3, when the Cultural Festival of Calaveras and other national congresses were held.
Roberto Ramirez Chavez, president of this association, said that the variety of events that have been held in the state is what has influenced the hotels to register a good occupancy and thus generate expectations for the end of the year.

During that week, 11,495 rooms were occupied, with an average rate of 1,350.68. The events that took place were the National Convention of Canacintra, which registered an average rate of 1,226 pesos and an occupancy of 5.4 percent; The National Meeting of Animal Sciences had a rate of 1,036 pesos and contributed 1.15 percent to the occupation; for the Second Danzón Meeting, an occupation of 3.31 percent and a rate of 947 pesos were recorded; as for the Charrería de Calaveras, the average rate left by this event was 1,044 pesos and contributed .03 percent of occupation; the Aguascalientes Marathon registered an average rate of 857 pesos and an occupation of 2.8 percent; the National Martial Arts Championship contributed 6.36 percent to the occupation; the Calaveras Baseball Festival 2.86 percent and only in the perimeter where the activities of the Calaveras Festival 2024 were carried out, an average rate of 1,076 pesos and an occupation of 6.65 percent was recorded.

The leader of the sector highlighted that the hotel offer has been increasing thanks to the influx of tourists who arrive in the entity for different reasons, business, vacation or just to rest.
“Many people look for us on weekends from neighboring states and that means that we have better service every time because the guest is more knowledgeable and asks for quality service, this trend is on the rise and we hope to close the year with good rates.”
