After the state governor, Ricardo Gallardo Cardona, announced the construction of a new Tangamanga park in the state, the mayor of Soledad de Graciano Sánchez confirmed that the works on Tangamanga III Park will begin in January 2025. This ambitious project is intended as a new urban lung that will benefit both the local population and the environment.
The governor described some details of how this park will be designed, which will seek to stand out for its large green areas and modern recreational facilities. Unlike the already established Tangamanga I and II parks in the capital of San Luis Potosí, Tangamanga III will incorporate specialized spaces, including areas for outdoor sports, cycling tracks and ecological corridors that promote coexistence with nature and respect for the environment.
This initiative is part of a strategic plan of the state government to strengthen the network of urban lungs in San Luis Potosí, with the aim of improving air quality and counteracting the effects of climate change in metropolitan areas. The governor stressed that the creation of these parks not only contributes to the reduction of carbon emissions, but also increases urban biodiversity and provides an accessible and safe recreational space for families.
For the inhabitants of Soledad de Graciano Sánchez, this project represents an opportunity to enjoy a place of recreation without having to travel to the capital. “We are committed to offering decent spaces that promote social integration, sports and contact with nature for our community,” said the mayor.
He added that Tangamanga III Park thus symbolizes progress in the state’s environmental policy and a step towards the creation of an infrastructure of interconnected parks that functions as a green belt, promoting a healthy and environmentally friendly lifestyle.
