Chileno Beach will join the list of beaches certified with the prestigious Blue Flag, reaching a total of 28 coastlines in Los Cabos, with this recognized international standard.
In this regard, Rafael Álvarez Munguía, coordinator of the Federal Maritime Land Zone (ZOFEMAT) announced that the Blue Flag certification is awarded to those beaches that meet high quality standards in areas such as water cleanliness, environmental management, visitor safety and education on environmental conservation.
He also mentioned that with this new addition, the commitment to sustainability and the preservation of its natural resources is reinforced, in addition to continuing to position itself as a tourist destination of international quality.
‘’At 9:30 in the morning we invite the public to witness this emblematic event that allows us to have more Blue Flag beaches, thanks to the good administration of the municipal president Christian Agúndez Gómez, this November 15 we will be raising 25 flags and in this way continue growing in the certification of beaches’’, he said.
The official presentation of the Blue Flag flag will take place in a ceremony this Friday, with the participation of local authorities, representatives of the tourism sector and the community in general.
