ISC invites creators from BCS to participate in “Fotosensible 2026”

La Paz, Baja California Sur. — The Instituto Sudcaliforniano de Cultura (ISC) invites creators from Baja California Sur to participate in “Fotosensible 2026,” a competition aimed at recognizing and promoting proposals in the field of visual arts.

The head of the ISC, Víctor Hugo Caballero Gutiérrez, reported that the selection will consider criteria such as creativity, originality, technical skill, and conceptual proposal. The winning works will become part of the Institute’s cultural collection.

“Fotosensible 2026” includes two categories: “Ojo Creativo,” for adults, and “Infantil,” aimed at children up to 13 years old. In the first category, two acquisition prizes of 26,000 pesos each and two honorable mentions of 10,000 pesos each will be awarded; in the second, the first-place winner will receive 10,000 pesos, the second-place winner 6,000 pesos, and the third-place winner 4,000 pesos.

To participate, applicants must submit one photograph in a sealed envelope, with identification on the outside and complete personal information and the required documentation inside. A copy of an official identification document or documentation proving a minimum of three years of residency in the state must be attached, along with the duly completed registration form.

The submission of works, either in person or by courier, will take place at the Carlos Olachea Art Gallery, located on Antonio Navarro Street, at the Jesús Castro Agúndez Cultural Center. Entries may also be sent by email to [email protected].
