The town of Todos Santos, Baja California Sur, is preparing for a month filled with cultural activities, film, music and Mexican traditions, with several events scheduled to attract both local residents and visitors.

The program seeks to strengthen the cultural and tourism appeal of this Pueblo Mágico, known for its historic architecture, artistic community and traditional celebrations. The local calendar includes activities that combine contemporary cultural proposals with traditions deeply rooted in the community.

One of the main elements of the program is the presence of cinema, adding to Todos Santos’ longstanding connection with film and audiovisual culture. The town is also home to the Todos Santos Film Festival, an established event dedicated to Mexican, Latin American and international cinema.

The festival activity complements the town’s regular cultural calendar, which includes art exhibitions, live music, markets, workshops and community events. Current September programming includes music, art activities, theater, local markets and other cultural gatherings throughout Todos Santos and the surrounding area.

Traditions and Cultural Celebrations

Traditional celebrations are another important component of Todos Santos’ annual cultural life. The town’s traditional festivities are held in October in honor of the Virgen del Pilar and include cultural, sporting and artistic activities, as well as horseback riding events and popular dances.

The celebrations traditionally include the coronation of the King and Queen of the Todos Santos festivities, with many activities taking place at Plaza Pública Francisco I. Madero, where residents and visitors from nearby communities gather.

The combination of these traditional celebrations with contemporary cultural festivals gives Todos Santos an extended period of activity during the fall, reinforcing its position as one of Baja California Sur’s principal cultural and tourism destinations.

A Destination for Cultural Tourism

The concentration of festivals and cultural activities also represents an opportunity to increase tourism during the season.

Todos Santos already attracts visitors interested in its galleries, historic streets, restaurants, beaches and local artistic scene. The town’s cultural calendar adds another reason for travelers to visit and stay in the area.

In addition to the festivals mentioned in the current program, Todos Santos hosts other major annual events. For example, the Todos Santos Mango Festival took place in July 2026 and brought together food, local producers, artisans and performances around the region’s mango harvest.

The community is also preparing for other specialized events later in the year. The Todos Santos Wellness Fest, for example, is scheduled for October 31 through November 2, combining yoga, meditation, movement, music and activities focused on wellness and connection with nature.

The upcoming month of festivals therefore forms part of a broader effort to keep Todos Santos active as a cultural destination, combining local traditions, artistic expression, tourism and community activities.
