This Friday afternoon the first Biker Expo Show forum started, with free activities, the objective is to promote road safety and accident prevention.
During this weekend, there will be workshops, presentations and conferences that have to do with helmet use, certifications, how to travel in groups and everything to promote safe motorcycling, said Abelardo Aiza Suárez, one of the organizers who is also the director of the Veracruzana de Motociclismo school.
In an interview he declared that it is urgent to raise awareness that there must be training for those who are learning to drive this type of vehicle, since they are sold regardless of whether they do not know the basics.
For this purpose, these workshops are aimed, which are free, and will be held in the center of Fortín, at the kiosk and other places in this municipality.
This Friday a conference was given on safe driving and risk reduction as well as the exhibition of motorcycles, among other activities.
Activities this Saturday and Sunday
This Saturday morning there will be a ride to the Antenas hill, between Fortín and Ixtaczoquitlán and then to the municipality of Tequila in the mountainous area.
It is estimated that about 500 bikers will participate, who will be accompanied and who will leave an important economic impact in Córdoba, Fortín, Tequila and Ixtaczoquitlán because in addition to consuming local products, they will stay in the area.
On Sunday there will be other activities, said Aiza Suárez who added that motorcyclists from the region will join because it is very important that they are trained on the use of this type of vehicle.
She recalled that the Córdoba Red Cross attends to 4 accidents a day, some with fatal consequences, therefore, the importance of knowing how to drive.
She invited the population to be part of this event, or the rides that will take place this weekend, they just have to get to Fortín and the program is available there.
He said that it is not only about having the unit, it is about driving carefully, with protection, knowing mechanics and taking care to avoid accidents because many of them can be prevented.
