The International Festival of Cultural Expressions of the New Generation “Proyecto Posh” is taking place in different parts of San Cristóbal de Las Casas, so the organizers invite you to join and enjoy all the scheduled activities.
Although the literary activities began with the welcome of the participants and the holding of the first reading table on Wednesday, November 13, the official opening of the event took place on Thursday afternoon, at the Daniel Zebadúa Theater.
During the event, there was a special participation of the LGBT+ Choir of Chiapas and international poets; later, the presentation of the Tuna Universitaria took place and a street parade was held towards the Carlos Jurado cultural center.
On Friday, there were various activities such as the collective exhibition of Visual Arts in which several Mexican artists participated, presenting their works at the Carlos Jurado cultural center. Throughout the day, various activities were also carried out in different places in the “cultural capital of Chiapas” such as the neighborhood of La Merced, the Jardines del Norte hotel, the Corridors of Musac, the Central Park of San Cristóbal, among other places.
There was also a special presentation by the Symphony Orchestra of the Autonomous University of Chiapas at the Daniel Zebadúa Theater.
Activities this Saturday
According to the artistic program that is published on the Facebook page, this Saturday there will be activities such as the second morning session in the discipline of literature in the Gardens of the “Casa de Familia” Hotel at 10:00, where there will be presentations of Desde esta luz, the Duvalier Magazine and Fenomelogía, as well as a reading table with Mexican writers. While in the Urban Pavilion a graffiti expo will be held and in the corridors of Musac there will be several recreational workshops for all ages.
On Saturday afternoon, the activities will move to the Carlos Jurado cultural center where the evening literature sessions will take place. Meanwhile, in the central park of San Cristóbal de las Casas, there will be performances by various musical groups.
