When do children go on winter vacation in 2024?
The 2024-2025 school calendar indicates that the first vacation period will begin on Thursday, December 19 and end on Wednesday, January 8.
The winter vacation will last almost three weeks for basic education students, that is, preschool, primary and secondary school.
The second vacation period runs from April 14 to April 25.

When are the three November 2024 long weekends?
According to the SEP calendar, preschool, primary and secondary school students will have three long weekends throughout November.
In addition, one of the long weekends will coincide with a holiday marked by the Federal Labor Law, so both students and workers will have a long weekend.
One of these dates is this Monday, November 18, which is related to the commemoration of the anniversary of the Mexican Revolution on November 20. That day was moved to Monday so that both students and teachers could reflect on the importance of that holiday.
While Friday, November 22, the SEP calendar also marks it as a day without classes, since it corresponds to the registration of grades where the only ones who go to the classrooms are the teachers.
Although classes will not be suspended on Friday, November 29 because it is a holiday, the Technical School Council Meeting will be held, where teachers and the director of the basic education school meet to discuss educational situations and make decisions.
