Avoid going out late at night and be careful with tire-punching, as well as not going to risky neighborhoods, is what the president of the Mexican Association of Travel Agencies (AMAV) Tabasco, Jorge Luis Ruiz Pérez, recommends to tourists visiting the state.

The leader of the local AMAV, indicated that insecurity should not be normal, but there are clashes between criminal gangs, in response to the actions carried out by the government, so there is confidence in the strategies that are being implemented to restore order.

Ruiz Pérez commented that no incident of insecurity has occurred in which any tourist has been affected, and he also highlighted that with the Chocolate Festival some Tour Operators made tours along routes in Tabasco, without any problems occurring.
