During a press conference held at the City Museum on Thursday morning, details of the activities for La Víspera and La Noche Blanca in Mérida’s alternative forums and museums were announced.

The press conference featured Bárbara Lobatón, representing the bazaars; Raquel Araujo from La Rendija theater, representing alternative forums; Isabel Molina, representing bars and cafes with art, authentic kitchens, and food trucks; and Elena Fernández Moral, director of the Museo de la Canción, representing the museums.
Event Details
Organized by the Identity and Culture Department of the Mérida City Council, La Víspera and La Noche Blanca will take place on Friday, November 29, and Saturday, November 30. The event will feature around 300 activities and over 500 artists in various forums across the Historic Center, city neighborhoods, and the Caucel police station.
Participating Venues
The event will include seven museums, 19 alternative spaces, 32 gastronomy exhibitors, and entrepreneurs in various city bazaars. Highlights of the program include:
– The premiere of “El aroma del tiempo” at La Rendija theater
– Tours and activities at the Museo de los Ferricarriles for the first time
– A farewell presentation by the Bolio Pech sisters at the Museo de la Canción
Special Offers and Schedule
Claudia Chapa Cortes, deputy director of Culture, announced that discount bracelets will be distributed starting at 10 a.m. on Friday, November 29, the day of La Víspera. The activities for La Víspera and La Noche Blanca will run from 8 p.m. to 2 a.m.
The closing concert will take place on Saturday, November 30, at 12:30 a.m. in Plaza Grande, featuring Jenny and The Mexicats.
